In a few hours the third Electrohype Biennial opens in Malmoe,
Sweden. It is accompanied by a conference on 'Experimental electronic
art in the Nordic region - recent history and current conditions'
later this weekend. We are looking forward to experiencing great
art and participating in good discussions on the contemporary conditions
for the electronic and computer based art forms in our area.
On this special occasion, Artificial would like to give our opinion
on the status of our local Danish scene for electronic and computer
based art forms with its lack of funding, network and institutional
support. Read our editorial on the topic.

NET STARS
On the occasion of the Danish magazine Reflexioner's theme issue
about stars, artificial.dk chose a series of net art works that
deal with stars in very different ways. Every Thursday in November
(4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th) artificial.dk recommended a star work
and supplied a short description.

Subotnick is offering something else than concerts: Participate
in a workshop in the production and use of 'solar modules', which
are small light sensitive electronic sound producing units. It's

NET.WORKS:
http://www.artificial.dk/networks
This is our catalogue of computer based art we can recommend. You'll
find net art, software art, classics, and a continuously updated
list of new pieces. This week we have two recommendations. One fairly
recent work and a look back at an early net.art document:
UNTITLED GAME
http://www.untitled-game.org
Jodi's modifications of the mainstream game Quake rip the game apart
and reassemble the rubble into a number of abstract, dysfunctional
and haunting digital spaces leaving very little control to the user.
Even though the project is only a couple of years old, it is a true
classic within artistic approaches to games. You can either download
them all at once or one at a time. Unzip the files and play...
SPECIFIC NET.ART FOUND POSSIBLE

One of Vuk Cosics (Slovenia) first websites made in connection to
conference "Net.art per se" in 1996. It was made to replicate
CNN's site at the time and can now can serve as a historical document
of the ideas of early net.artists. Also read an interview with mr.
Cosic here:
